Appetizer

If you could be any current celebrity for one whole week, who would you want to be?
I do not think I could be any current celebrity for one whole week, I really do not envy their lives.  I guess if I had to choose, I would select Heather Locklear.  She seems fairly down to earth.

Soup

On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being highest), how much do you enjoy talking on the phone?
On a scale of 1 – 10, I like to talk on the phone at about a 5.  I really do not enjoy long, long phone conversations for the most part.  Sometimes, I do enjoy them if I am catching up with someone who I have not talked to in a while.  Overall, I prefer email and text messages to phone calls.

Name a charitable organization to which you have donated (or would like to).
I have donated to the United Methodist Church and to one of my colleges, Reinhardt College.  Mr. Right and I met at Reinhardt and my parents did as well so it holds a special place in our hearts.
While political organizations are not thought of as “charitable” Mr. Right and I have donated to these in the past and to specific candidates.  We think it is important that the right people get elected and like to do what we can to help them when we are able.

Main Course

What is a food you like so much you could eat it every single day for a month?
I could probably eat chips and salsa every day for a single month and not get sick of it.  Also, I like to drink milk and usually have a cup at least 1 time a day.

Dessert

Have you or anyone in your family had the flu this year?
Yes.  We have been affected by the flu.  You can read about it affecting my family and also another family we know who wound up in the hospital because of it.  If you get it, rest and recover.

Please leave a comment if you stop by my blog so I can be sure to check out your blog.  If you have not done so already, be sure to check out this week’s other Friday’s Feast participants.

Friday’s Feast

It has been awhile since I have participated in a Friday’s Feast and decided today is a good day to be in one.

Appetizer
What was your first “real” job?

My first real job was as an office manager for a psychologist.  The most important thing I learned from this job was how to file and organized papers from this job.

Soup
Where would you go if you wanted to spark your creativity?

If I wanted to go somewhere to spark my creativity, I would go to a Country Inn that is about an hour from my house.  Mr. Right and I call this place our retreat.  We went there several times as we were starting his company, going through infertility, and other high stress times of our lives.  There is a lake, walking trails, beautiful scenery, a spa, and a golf course (we do not golf).  I am able to think and get away from things here without being too far from home.

Salad
Complete this sentence: I am embarrassed when…

I guess I am most embarrassed when I do or say something that is inappropriate for the moment and I do not have all the details to realize I am about to put my foot in my mouth until it is too late.

Main Course
What values did your parents instill in you?

My parents first and foremost instilled the value of knowing the difference between right and wrong.  They taught me who God is and how to live my life for him.  They also taught me that doing for others is very important in this life.  They lived their life by example (while not perfect, they were not hypocrites) and I hope I can do this for my own children.

Dessert
Name 3 fads from your teenage years.

The 1980s:

  1. big, permed hair
  2. valley girl speech
  3. preppy clothes

You, too, can participate in a Friday’s Feast by visiting their website.  If you have your own post, leave a comment below so I can check yours out.
