Holiday Grand Plan
The Holiday Grand Plan officially starts this week. This year will be my fifth year using the Plan. I stumbled upon this website after the twins were born and found that it is a great way to keep organized and stay ahead of the Christmas rush, while trying to manage the day-to-day activities of 2 busy children.
Each week, there are assignments to complete both for deep house cleaning and for preparing for the Holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas). By breaking the holiday work down into smaller, more manageable tasks, I am able to do a little bit at a time and still truly enjoy the process.
I wish I could say that I am organized enough to follow the plan rigorously but I am not. I do what I can with it each week. The parts that I cannot do, I let go of and do not worry about. Even though I do not follow every single little task, Thanksgiving weekend each year, we are able to get the tree decorated and we begin to enjoy the Christmas season without feeling as if we have to rush to accomplish everything on a large, out-of-control to do list.
This works for me. What works for your holiday preparations? When do you start to prepare? Let me know by leaving a comment below.
Cool Website!!! Thanks for sharing!
