After meeting my future husband, Mr. Right, in college, we became fast friends. Eventually, that friendship turned into love. In October we will celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary.
In 2001, I left my full-time job as a computer programmer turned project manager, to stay at home. I increased my volunteer involvement in the community, helped Mr. Right with his bruegoning business, and began fertility treatments. The fertility treatments paid off, and we have now have our adorable, 4 year old twins.
Politics is my passion. I am actively involved in the Republican Party on the county, district, and state levels. I have served as a volunteer on many campaigns.
Recently, I began getting paid for my political consulting services for the first time. From 1992 until July, 2007, I volunteered my time and services. It is fun to earn money for something I love to do so much.
Since I had been a full-time volunteer and mother for 6 years, now trying to juggle a job while taking care of the children, keeping up with the household chores, and continuing to volunteer at some level is a bit of a challenge. Fortunately, I am getting into the swing of this new routine and it seems to be working well.
When I am not taking care of the house, the children, or politics, I volunteer in my local Junior Service League, Mothers of Multiples Club, and church. Serving in the JSL is a wonderful way to be involved in the local community. My favorite aspect of volunteering through the JSL is that I have the opportunity to help various charities in my community through this one organization.
In my spare time, I like to read, scrapbook, & watch tv. I aspire to digiscrap but am not there yet. Creating Keepsakes puts on some fabulous conventions and I have been to 2 of these and one CKU. Mr. Right and I have had tivo since 2000 and we would give up the microwave before we give up our tivo boxes. While reading political books is a good way to become informed, most of my reading these days is light fiction that I can pick up and put down quickly as called for by the more important demands of life.
I am new to blogging and really enjoy it. Please feel free to let me know your thoughts about the site so that I can improve it as I go. Thanks!
