Christmas Eve Dessert
December 5, 2007 by jenuinejen
Each year after Christmas Eve Church Services, we come home and have a special dessert. This have become a tradition for Mr. Right, the children, and me. It is so delicous and a wonderful way to get the children even more excited and hopped up on sugar right before bedtime.
We have Real French Silk, which is a frothy, warm, and deliously sweet hot chocolate. Then we also serve Baked North Pole. Normally, you would call this dish Baked Alaska but on Christmas Eve in our home it is Bake North Pole. YUM!!
To make it easier on us and faster so that the children can get on to bed, we heat the milk for the hot chocolate in a crockpot while we are at church. We prepare the creamy chocolate for this recipe ahead of time.
Additionally, we have the cake cut in the appropriate sizes in an air-tight contanier and the ice cream scooped into individual serving sizes in the freezer, and the egg whites separated and ready to go in the fridge.
Be sure to click the recipes for Real French Silk and Baked North Pole to learn how to make this and incorporate it in your holiday traditions.

Well, that really sounds delicious!!!! I checked out the recipe’s and I only have this to say about the preparation method Mr. Right prefers…….what Mr. Right wouldn’t want to use a torch!!! LOL
Thanks for the recipe, but I’d rather have an invitation to dinner!
What a nice idea — dessert after church! I especially like how you plan ahead — very smart.
We always do a Scandinavian dinner on Christmas Eve. My grandmother (whom I write about on my blog) was half Swedish and half Norwegian. I make Swedish meatballs, lefse, roomegröt, fruita soups, rice pudding and a few other items. After all that cooking for Christmas Eve, I usually find I have no energy left for Christmas dinner! Ah, but we usually go to relatives’ houses that day, so it all works out
